What is Vintage Champagne?

Hi this is Dave for Expert Village today we're going to discuss champagnes and sparkling wines with champagnes like any wine sometimes a year it's particularly sparkling and all the grapes from that year they can make a perfect wine or champagne from. So what you want to look on the bottle now this happens to be a blend and you'll see that there's no vintage year on here, a vintage if that had that on the bottle like a 1995 vintage, that means all the grapes from that year went into that champagne blend of the grapes. Now when there's a several years at her you know not just a great year or 2, but good but they'll blend all the grapes together and usually champagne houses will have there own taste that you can depend on. Like mums you can always depend on that flavor being there if that's your type of champagne sort of a steely flavor. Some of them are more of a earthy flavor but if they have a great year your going to bottle that as a vintage and those are generally higher in price., but the rewards are great to.
