How to Give a Manicure Wax Treatment

Hi, I'm Megan with Elements University on behalf of Expert Village. I just showed you the supplies you'll need for a spa manicure and now I'm going to show you how to dip hands in paraffin. We're first going to apply a small amount of lotion to the hands. Go ahead and rub that in. This causes a light barrier between the heat in the paraffin, it also helps the paraffin to spite off extremely easily. We're going to do one hand at a time. Dip in up to the wrist and then out and we do this three times. Let the client sit with their hand above the paraffin for the excess to drip off and now we can dip the other hand. You'll now want to wrap the hands in plastic bags so that the paraffin doesn't get over in any of your mix. What paraffin is good for is it moisturizes the hands, it helps dry crack, it helps it to heal and it's also good for clients that have arthritis, it helps to heal the arthritis it makes their hands feel better. Watch our next segment on removing the paraffin wax.
