Hi I'm Betty Ingham and I'm speaking today on behalf of Expert Village after we make this bowl it will stay on our drying rack for probably a day depends on the humility. Then we take that bowl and as you can see the bottom is very very rough and we are going to put a foot on it. This is called a giffin grip we just make it tight so it won't go anywhere and we take our trimming tool. This is a little bit a dry but I can still show you how exactly I'm going to trim it up. I'm going to take off all the rough edges and it shows a lot of people the first thing they do is they look on the bottom of our pottery and anything that you make be impressive but if you don't finish it and they want to see if we put a foot on it. They want to see if we finished it out. This is just the finishing touches and it is called putting a foot on your pottery.
