Materials Used for Chattering on the Potter's Wheel

Hi I'm Betty Ingham and on behalf of Expert Village material that we use to chatter is just made from a regular piece of strapping that if something where sent, shipped on pallets it would be enclosed with kind of material. We have all kinds we have some that are bent like this and some that are bent like this and what you do and this is to dry but your going to put you piece in here. Secure it and then you are going to go ahead and just bump it down. This is a little to dry to do it but you get the general idea of what this little simple instrument can do to make something as beautiful as what we have over that and then when it is glazed it is just absolutely gorgeous that is called chattering.
