SCOTT BROWDER: Hi. This is Scott for Expert Village. And we're going to start out with the serve. The first lesson that we did on beginning ping pong, we're going to go ahead and elaborate more on that. As you probably know already, if you've seen the first video, we had the basic forehand, the basic backhand stroke. Now, we're going to go ahead and try to put a little bit of different variations on that. So we'll start with the forehand. Now, with the forehand, the normal shot is just to throw the ball up. Remember, the ball has to be seen three hundred and sixty, well, a hundred and eighty degrees. If it was 3D, we could see it three-sixty. But it has to be up off of your hand in order to be considered to be a legal serve. So we're going to start out with just the basic one that we hit, which is just following through. And again, you've got to hit your side. And being in intermediate ping pong, you should already know that. So what we're going to want to do now is, with just the basic same stroke, we're going to move the ball around a little bit. We always want to keep moving the ball so that we're hitting from one side to the other, hitting it short, hitting it long, in between. So sometimes your serve is going to go over to the right side of the court and sometimes, or the table, sometimes you're going to hit one down the line or sometimes you're going to hit one right at the guy. And you can pick up the pace a little bit so that the ball is, you're hitting the ball nice and low to the net and putting maybe a little bit of top spin on it to keep the speed up on the serve. So that's just the beginning, first right handed or, I'm sorry, forehanded serve.
