Hi! I am Sandra Scheetz Wise at the Gallery One Artist gallery in Kissimmee, Florida and today on expertvillage.com we are going to talk about the different types of paints, oil versus watercolor versus acrylics. One thing about acrylics is, it can be changed if you make a mistake, when you paint with watercolor, it is a wonderful medium, but if you do lay the paint down a lot of times it doesn’t come back up. With oils for example it is a great medium also, the only problem is the time that it takes to dry. You can mix the paints around, but it does take a few days and sometimes weeks before it is dry, even months. With acrylics they usually have it dry within a day and it will usually cure within 4-6 months before you can add something over it to protect it. Another thing with acrylics that I like is that it is very forgiving. If you do make any kind of mistake you can paint over it and change it and that is really nice to do and I thank you a lot for me giving you this information and please look me up on my website and say hi at www.sandrascheetzwise.com.
