Scrapbooking: Adding an Envelope Surprise to a Memory Book

Hi! I am Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts. Please stop by and visit me at www.tlcproductionsonline.com. We are having so much fun making a paper bag memory book today. I am enjoying sharing my ideas with you. Let us go onto the first page. There are many different ways that you can put pages in the book and do not be afraid and just be creative and do your own thing. For this page I cutout a piece of green paper and I made an envelope which is very simple to do and you can buy these tags or you can make your own out of oak tag. This one just look like it had lots of words out of a dictionary on it and for this particular tag one of our 20 reasons to celebrate was college; two and a half years down and who knows how many to go so I took the tag and I made a little envelope and then put another piece on top of it and then tied a ribbon to it. You can do the same thing, just take your tag, find a piece of paper, it does not have to be a whole paper, it can even be a scrap piece as long as it is big enough that you can make an envelope for your tag, you have plenty of paper, just take it, fold it, go ahead and cut it to the size you want, fold in the edges and glue them down and you have an envelope. Then you can glue it on to your piece of paper. The nice thing about putting your work on a piece of paper before you put it on your paper bag, is that if you do not like it or you make a mistake, it is very easy to start over and once it is glued to your bag it is a lot more difficult. So you can make 3D effects or you can make your own little envelope to hold the tag or you can put a ribbon across and hold the tag with the ribbon. Lots of different ways to use these wonderful little tags. When I ran out of the sizes that I wanted, I simply made my own using one as a template. So do not be afraid to experiment with your paper bag memory book.
