Scrapbooking: Using Textured Paper in a Memory Book

Hi! I am Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts. Please stop by and visit me at www.tlcproductionsonline.com. I had a lot of fun making this paper bag memory book for Sheila and discovering new things. I have never done any kind of scrap booking so I really had fun exploring that department of the store when I went there. One of the things that I really enjoyed was getting a hold of were these textured papers. On this page I used just my template and I cutout as you can see a green piece of paper, and found some textured paper to put on it, you can put it on straight, you can put it on at an angle, you can do all kinds of different things with it and then I went ahead and used the same one of these fancy scissors with a nice little edge to it and I cut out photographs; don’t ever be afraid to cut out a photo. I cut out the photographs and put them on the textured paper with a typed text underneath and then it gives a very 3D effect. Then I cut corners using the fancy scissors again off of the piece of the paper so that it looks like old fashion photo holders. Also inside I used textured paper for a picture of the grandparents and also like I said I like to call my doodads showing the idea behind this page too, so I used textured paper on the outside and a different type of textured paper with a surprise page inside. So I hope you enjoyed learning about textured paper. You probably know more about it than I do but it is a lot of fun.
