Types of Birthday & Greeting Cards

I am Heather McCanna on behalf of expertvillage.com and today I will be discussing card making basics. Specifically in this segment what types of cards you can make. There are several different forms of cards depending on the orientation of the paper as well as the direction which it opens. These is called a vertical card which is face long ways to allow more space to write a message down the card and it opens from the side as most cards do. As well as counterpart the horizontal card this one is obviously is facing side to side to allow more space for pictures and one large line of text. It opens from the bottom and is essentially the same as a vertical card only turned side ways. This is known as the money card. Its contents is obviously obvious by the shape of the card which resembles the length of a dollar bill. When you open it is generally a tri-fold and allows for a pocket or simply spaced to put money in. it is great for graduation as you often want give a monitory gift to that person. There is also another type of card which I show you how to make later called a pop up card. It generally resembles the shape of either a vertical or horizontal card and it includes a special flap which pops up allowing a three dimensional effect. These are great for birthdays or thank you cards, get well, essentially any type of card they you want to be more fun and interesting and they allow for a longer and more for intensive craft project.
