I agree with this video completely except for one big thing. Unless you're primarily going to use the laptop for gaming, you can get much much more use out of the laptop by using linux instead of windows. This prevents having to replace your laptop because of microsoft's increasing minimum system requirements in order to run their bloated OS's. Granted there are issues with linux and laptops, but there is huge community support and many other things that linux does just as well as MS and things that linux does that MS does not do. If you really need windows, there are a few things you can do. Dual boot and you can also use samba which allows linux to talk to windows. Sure you can run linux inside of windows but why you would want to run one of the most secure OS's inside of hacker's playground is really questionable. Just my two cents but I appreciate the vids. The biggest advantage to running linux instead of windows is simply that it is free as in freedom from licenses(open source) and free as in free beer. Hope that you guys can come on-board and offer linux installed laptops/desktops :D

If you are considering moving to linux, the most user friendly distrobution at this point is called ubuntu you can find all linux distrobutions(flavors think about ice cream)is located at distrowatch.com Happy computing.

How to Buy a Laptop Computer

On behalf of Expert Village.com my name is Don with Friendly Computers and I'm here to talk to you today about laptops. Now after you watched our clips about advantages and disadvantages you may of decided yes a laptop is what I want. So how do you go about buying one, we'll there's a few things that a good consumer should be aware of. The first thing is to determine all the features that you need in a laptop before you even walk into a store or log in the internet. Now in some of the other clips we be talking about some of those specific features. But once you've got idea of what you need in a computer then you go out and you begin shopping. Now be aware there's a lot of things to be careful of, there's a lot stores that will show you a low price laptop and then by the time they add on warranties and by the time they add on the additional features and set up for you and other things like that the overall price is quit a bit higher that you thought. Just be aware that these things may be legitimate services and products and may be the things you want. But make sure you do your shopping carefully, check the internet prices on some of the bigger brands, go to your local friendly computer store where they can absolutely help you find the right laptop for your needs. But whatever you do make sure that you go in well informed with an idea of what kind and need you have what kind of budget and price range you have, and what kind of feature capabilities you want to make sure you can support, once you buy the laptop you want to make sure and get a few years out of it before you have to replace it. So be smart, do your homework, and then get ready to shopping.
