Hello, I'm Alan with Expert Village. There are two other items that I find, or three other items that I find that are very handy when you are making your beading, doing your beading projects. Number one is what's called a bead board. It's for organizing the parts that you are going to use, the findings and organizing the beads in the order that you want to actually make the jewelry. Number one, it makes it easier to pick up the beads. Number two, it puts them in the order that you want to pick them up so that when you get to that point you don't mix them up and pick up the wrong bead at the wrong time and then end up making a whole a piece of jewelry just to find out later that you made a mistake. So this is almost critical to have. Now, it's not expensive, it only cost three or four dollars, but I am going to show you today how to make one just out of a piece of paper. When I first started I didn't have bead board so I had to be creative so I made my own and I'll show you how to do that. Also I have a pair of optivisors. I use these quite frequently because it's the small details in the jewelry that make them successful, that make them look really good and make them look professional. Having an optivisor will help you with that. They cost about fifteen dollars, but you wear them on your head so that your hands are free to do what you need to do with the jewelry. I find that it's indispensable doing your beading work. Especially when you're dealing with the very thin wires that you use in your projects. Another tool that you may wish to have is a millimeter gauge. This is a digital millimeter gauge and I can set it to inches or I can set it to millimeters and I can measure my beads just to make sure that they are the right size. That they're all uniform and the size when I'm making my jewelry. If you have beads that are mixed up and you want to make sure that you sort them, this is a good way to do that. And there are some millimeter gauges that you can get that, have the little cups on the ends just like the tweezers that we showed earlier and they're made in to them so when you open and close them you can get an accurate sizing on your beads.
