Scissors for Jewelry Making

Hello, I'm Alan with Expert Village. The next thing you're going to need is a good pair of scissors. I find that it's better if you have a small, sharp, pointy pair of scissors if you have to have any at all and if you have to buy a pair, those would be the ones you use most for your jewelry. There are other kinds that you can buy. These are actually made for bead stringing and cutting a very clean cut. These come in a lot of the kits that you'll buy that have some of the other tools in them as well. They're excellent for doing beading projects. It doesn't matter whether it's a pair of, this is a pair of surgical scissors that give a nice clean cut when you have to do wire jewelry or you have to do beaded jewelry and you're using string or wire. This is a good pair of scissors to use for that. Some people have even used hair shears to do their jewelry and bead making and that's fine if that's what you want to use. It’s not the best choice but it is something that you can use. Now these are made for specifically working with jewelry as well. You'll find that the tip of them are almost exactly like the smaller pair. They just have a longer handle and they are little bit easier to handle I find. But these take up less room so if you take your beading projects with you on the road or something and you're working on a different location, these might be more practicable than having a long handled pair. A regular household pair of scissors or also utility scissors are good to have. Because you will find that you'll need them in different circumstances. So go ahead and make sure you find the right kind of scissors that you want to have. The more you do the jewelry the more you'll find that there are certain tools that you prefer to work with and that work better for you. Maybe the size of your hand or if you have problems with arthritis in your hands or anything like that this will also help you with those. So choose the right tools for you.
