How to Make Bath Salts

Ok, so we just poured our salt. And you don't want to fill it all the way to the top because we're going to be shaking it. So you want to leave a little bit of room there. Next we pick our essential oil. Make sure that when you read the labels, when you are buying essential oil you always want to make sure its pure, 100 percent essential oil. You don't want anything that?s synthetic because you're making a natural bath product. So there's a variety to select from. Peppermint is nice when you want an uplifting feeling. Orange, I'm going to use for this demonstration. Because it is a holiday bath salt and orange is very uplifting for your mood and for your spirits. So, um, this smells really good! You want to be very careful when you use essential oils. Don't get any in your eyes, don't touch your face with your fingers, be very careful. And I will put in, probably, I'd say anywhere from eight to twenty drops. I really depends on the size of your jar and your preference. There we go. Close up your essential oil bottle very tightly. Close this up as well. You can give it a few really good shakes. It?s all mixed in really nicely. Alright, so you're going to let it sit for a couple of hours. And what you can do, as a tip, is to just make sure that it?s blended. You don't want like a goop, where the essential oil has gotten. So, every once in a while, just shake it up so its nice and blended. And there you go! Now here is another idea that you can do. You can top it off with some beautiful lavender flowers. Doesn't that look nice and pretty? A few of those in there. Umm, I can smell the orange. Oh! That?s delightful! if you could only smell through that camera, we'd be millionaires. Alright. I'll shake this up. There that looks very nice. And since this is for the holiday, how easy is it just to put a nice piece of gold yarn or ribbon. Make a nice bow, like so. This may take a little practice. And there you go. Give it to your mom. Give it to your girlfriend, your grandma. They'll love you for it and they won't believe that you did it your self. But, I will vouch for you! Thanks for watching. Nili Nathan with Great living TV on behalf of Expert Village.
