Learn About the Heavy Tackle Needed for Offshore Fishing

On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Captain Rafael Mayans down here in South Florida with Sea Cross Sports Fishing Inc. Today we are going to explain to you offshore fishing techniques. Okay, heavy tackle; very important when you are fishing these big games. You are going to want yourself a stout rod, stand up type old preferably for me, 80 lb test blank, 50 wide pin international on 50 pound test monofilament. To go with this heavier tackle, of course you are going to need bigger hooks, bigger bait. You are fishing for bigger fish. Now these rigs are called stiff rigs which is a piece of wire braided onto the hook, keeping the hook stiff like this. That's what you are doing, you are fishing with big tackle.
