MICKEY DENONCOURT: There are two main types of corners that you see on a downhill trail or just a general mountain bike trail that goes down the hill, an increasing radius and a decreasing radius turn, an open or close turn. This turn that we've been riding is an open turn. It gets wider as you get through the apex. That gives you a lot more options to come into it ragged and get some speed coming out. So, as I come through again, this time, I'm going to take the rut again, and you're going to notice how probably my foot comes off my inside pedal, and sort of just gets stuck out to the outside a little bit. That's to move my center of mass, my center of gravity towards the outside of this corner to get farther out, to get speed for the next corner to get the best line. So, with an open corner like this, you don't have to worry too much about blowing it out, instead, what you do when you get into the apex, you worry about getting out of it as fast as possible. So it's a pretty easy type of corner to ride. You can get pretty aggressive with it.
