MICKEY DENONCOURT: The other main type of corner that you're going to see on a mountain bike trail, especially downhill trail is a closed or reducing radius corner. There's actually a series of three right here, where, basically what that means is that after you get to the apex in the middle part of the corner, the corner pinches off or closes off. So you have to work a lot harder to get out of it. This corner starts back over there, this is around the apex right here and you need to be considerably farther to the left, to what would be the inside coming out of this as you would, it was an open corner to get set up right for the next one. So, for these corners, your set up going into them is a lot more important. Your entrance, speed and location has a much greater impact on how you exit this than with an open corner. So in this next clip, I'm going to ride through this open corner. A series of open corners and you'll see how much I'm focusing on where I set up so I can get out of them quickly.
