How to do Bigger 180s on a BMX Bike

Now why in the world am I up here on top of this quarter pipe if I'm about to talk about bunny hop tricks? Well what I'm attempting to do is generate a little bit more speed for the next trick that I'm going to talk about, which is expanding your one eighties so that you can do them bigger, faster, over different obstacles. What I'm going to do is, I'm going to one eighty over just a short little driveway jump. What you are going to see me do is pickup and like a regular one eighty I'm going to get a good pop but what I'm going to do is I'm going to actually hold the bike sideways rather than spinning all the way through. Generally if you are going to start doing really high speed long distance one eighties, it's going to ideally to be a little bit less than a one eighty because it will make the landing a lot more controlled. So here it goes, get a good pump and I one eighty it. As you can see the ride out there was a little bit hectic but at the same time I think that I demonstrated that as I picked up I looked at where I was landing. It's a little different than doing a one eighty just on flat ground when you first learning them because you want to keep looking over your shoulder.
