Hi! My name is Sahira and I’m here on behalf of Expert Village to give you a little bit information about belly dancing. Another basic belly dance movement is the chest circle. I’m going to show you how to do a vertical circle that is parallel to the mirror. And it’s made up of four parts, the first two parts are just a slide side-to-side, so you’re sliding your chest side-to-side horizontally, you want to imagine pulling up on the outside ever so slightly to keep this movement parallel to the floor. The third and the fourth parts are a lift, the lift is just engaging the abs and using the muscles in between your shoulder blades to pull your chest up and then the fourth part is just to relax to neutral position. So when you combine these four pieces together you have slide to the right, lift up, slide to the left and relax back to neutral. When you combine them together in a smooth fashion you can create a vertical chest circle that can move either counter clockwise in this direction or you can reverse it and do it in the other direction clockwise.
