How to Tune a Bass Guitar

Hi! I am Carl Shepard with expertvillage.com, continuing on with some basic bass things here. Another thing you are going to want to learn about are your tuning pegs and when you are tuning your guitar you need to know which way to turn them and these things here, the triangular shaped things are called your tuning pegs, okay, they are on your headstock and what they do is they attach themselves to where your string is on your tuning peg, so you either tighten it or loosen it depending on which way you need to tune it, so if I need to tune my E string, turning it to the left will be tightening, turning it to the right will be loosening, okay, and that is going to be the same for any string if your guitar is strung correctly and when you tune you want to make sure you have a tuner with you and that you are tuning the standard unless you are tuning to your drop D or you can tune it down a half step or something like that then you are going to want to use the tuner.
