How to Inflate the Balloon to Create Animal Shapes

This is Brandon Nowasky and on behalf of expertvillage.com, we are going to show you more about balloon animals. This time I am going to talk about how to inflate the balloons. Now you are not going to want to try to inflate these with your mouth because they are very tight and very hard to inflate and you will probably hurt yourself. So what you are going to do is go out and get a pump. They come in all sizes, shapes and qualities, but any pump will really do. Basically what you are going to do is you are going to take the end of the balloon, stick it over the nozzle and it is pretty simple, just pump up the balloon. Now depending on the different animals or objects that you are going to make, you might have to pump them up more or less; sometimes you want to leave more room at the end, sometimes less room at the end. This room at the end is where the air is going to go when you are folding the balloon. Now tie the balloon; what you are going to do is just take your two fingers and wrap the end around your two fingers and then you are going to stick the end in between the fingers. Basically you kind of pull your fingers apart and roll the end up in there and that is going to create a knot, just like this and just hold one end, pull your fingers up and you’ve got yourself a knot just like that; you are ready to make a balloon animal.
