Create an Octopus With a Balloon

Hi! I am Brandon Nowasky and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I am going to show you more about balloon animals. This one we are going to make is going to involve multiple balloons. We are going to make an octopus, so in addition you get four balloons and fill them up almost all the way; you are going to leave about an inch to half an inch on the end. This is because there is not really that many twists involved; just a bunch of balloons. Take the four balloons and line them up one on top of another. What you are going to do is at about the middle of the balloons, you are going to push together really hard and twist. Balloons twist, it will lock itself. So this point you got two different sides, four parts on each side. Now what you have to do is fold it over that twist. This is going to be kind of tough because you just squeezing basically eight balloons at this point, you’ve got to push in, doing a lock and twist with eight balloons. Help use one hand to grab around the side and twist. You have to get it right, make sure to have a lock in place with eight balloons sticking out. Now all I have to really do is shape it, the balloons are pretty malleable and you can just twist, fold them, turn them and they will shape to your will, it is like to each leg and bend it under, like so, then it ends with the tips, you can squeeze them out a little bit, just like this. It is going to squeeze that to the tips and it will be very much to that tip left, just turn it down, twist it around; however you want to do. Basically what we are trying to do is get all these legs to point down and be even. I do not want to have a leg like this sticking out in the middle, you just hold it up and it’s going to take a little bit of time because all of these legs are going to be trying to get down to the middle of there. Once you get them all twisted in the right direction, you’ve got yourself an octopus.
