Basic Twist & Hold Technique for Creating Balloon Animals

Hi! I am Brandon Nowasky and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I am going to show you some more about the balloon animals. In this clip, I am going to show you the basic twist and hold move that is used when making balloon animals. As I said in the last clip to get your balloon blown up, leave enough space at the end for the air to go to as you are making your twists. The basic twist is you just measure out the size that you are going to need for that particular part of the object, pinch and twist the balloon, just like so. Now it is very important that you make sure you have room at the end here because as you twist, air is going to be pushed down at the end. So if your balloon is completely full and you do one of the twists you are going to pop the balloon. Now you want to make sure that you hold it because if you let it go it has a tendency to unroll and you are not going to be able to make the rest of the object. Sometimes you are going to have to make more than one twist before you are able to lock him down, so you want to make sure to hold them and twist them. The balloons are pretty durable, so if you have to make more you can always fold them over and twist and that way you able to make multiple twists before you have to lock them down. The balloons are also very flexible like I said so you will able to turn them, twist them multiple ways, sometimes you will even fold them over to do a twist. That is why you want to get the high quality balloons and make sure you leave room at the end because the air has to go somewhere. That is the basic twist and hold. In the next clip, we will talk about locking it down.
