On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Paul Lewis and I'm Rodney Smith and we are here to talk to you about how to become an extra for TV, movies and commercials. Okay, we are back and we are going to continue now talking about extra work and getting into commercials and TV and film. Let's talk about terminology that you may hear on the set. Some of the words that the production crew may be shouting out and talking to you when you are working on the set, there are some terms that you will be hearing on a daily basis. You have to know what these terms are. The more experience, extras do know what these terms are. Lets give you an example of some of the things that you are going to hear., What are some of the terms you are going to hear. Some of the easy terms you will hear are rolling, means camera is rolling, about to start and you will action and that means just starting. You will hear background a lot of times which means for the background to start walking or whatever they are doing, to start. You will also hear things like that's a one. It means go right back to the beginning and start all over. Absolutely! You will hear cut, which means done, they are finished. The great thing you want to hear is check the gate which is that the scene is over and but checking the lens to make sure everything came out all right and moving on. The best thing you want to hear is that's a wrap, done for the day. That's right. Actually I think that we are done with this video so you know we want to wish you the best of luck in getting some extra work. Go out there and knock them dead and hopefully all these tips will help you in that effort. On behalf of Expert Village, this has been Paul Lewis and Rodney Smith and good luck out there!
