Choosing a Triathlon Bike

I want to talk about what to ask and what do think about when purchasing a bike. Go to and I suggest you try maybe 2, 3 bike stores in your area so that you get a good idea of the types that are out there the bike that may particularly carry and what's going to work best for the what you need. A lot of people do triathlons specific bike if your going to get involved in the sport and that's going to be your you know choice sport. I suggest you get a triathlon specific bike, if your going to do some distance ride you want to have it you know for many years and cross train on them then going with a cross train bike that goes with triathlons and with distance rides is a great choice also. When you go you want to make sure that you ask and that the bike salesman helps you find the correct fit, it's crucial to by the mechanics that and the function of your body and how your going to train efficiently and not injure your knees and cause back injury so make sure that your bike appropriately. The first thing you want to ask is you know what distance do I need to be from the seat to the handlebar set. So there's going to be a measurement and that's going to be your top bar measurement right here, this top bar from the seat to the handlebar set. And the second one you want to make sure that the seat high down to the pedal so that when your sitting on your bike there your sitting with appropriate length from the seat to the pedal so that your going to pedal most efficiently. And thirdly you want to know that do you want the handle bar set lower than the saddle, level with the saddle, or higher than the saddle. So you want to make sure thats comfortable for you so make sure that this top bar is adjusted appropriately. Something else you want to pay attention to is the type of pedals that you want, if you want to go with clip less pedals or if you want to go with the cage typed pedal where you can wear you tennis shoes and just set them into a cage. I suggest if your going to get involved in triathlon or any type of bike riding that you do go with the clip less pedal so your going to clip in and onto your bike appropriately so when your on there your not going to be able to pull your foot out or going to slip out easily your going to be most efficient with the clip less pedal. Something else your going to want make sure is if you get the arrow bars you can see this bar set did not come with the arrow bar it was set up without them and they were added on addition to the bike. An awesome piece it allows you to take the piece off and also when your training triathlon to have it on there so it allows you to adjust and get into an arrow dynamic position. You can see this hand set is the gear shifters are on top this is a triathlon hand set here this is designed so that you can be in the arrow bar and shift without having to change your body position and your going to be most arrow dynamic and feel most efficient in that position. So that's something else you want to look at any pay attention to, most importantly get the rod fit bike and make sure it's set up for your body type.
