Using an Elevated Bridge Hold: How to Play Pool for Beginners
On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Richard Buccola and I am going to introduce you to Pool 101. Okay, our next bridge I want to talk about is called, its actually a bridge that is going to be a bridge and a lot of times what might happen is you have a ball like this and you are trying to shoot another ball. So our first bridge where you had your hand like this and coming out, you really can’t get in there. So what you want to do is you want to have an elevated bridge. What I am going to do is just put your fingers like this and you press down as hard as you can. I’m going to show you by just doing this. Pressing down as hard as I can and I just say it’s like that and you are going to put that V again on your thumb and you are going to rest your stick on top of that. So you are above the ball and again it is pretty firm and you always want your bridge to be firm. That is the whole thing about it. This is called an elevated bridge so you can make your shot and that’s it.
