How to Make a Bass Using Fishing Line
Hello I'm Annie Brunson on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are going to learn how to make a one string base. What you will need for this is some kind of tub I have a very large oatmeal tub here. I'm using two old fashion cloths pins but really anything wood end would do. A wooden dowel or anything would do also but, I'm using two clothes pins and some fishing wire. You would also need something to actually punch a hole in the can that you use. Now the first thing that I did with this or I have done this already is just secure the bottom cardboard if it is a cardboard container that you are using cause there might be a little bit of stress. So after I have done that I'm going to just punch a little hole just a small hole in the bottom. Next I'm going to take some fishing wire or fishing line and I'm going to use about this amount about probably about 18 inches. So I'm going to do a table top. Let me do this a bit longer. So next I'm going to take one probably about two feet. So I'm going to tie one end around on of the clothes pins. Make sure that it is nice and tight. So once you have done that you thread the other end through the hole that you just made. Once it has been threaded through then you fasten the other cloth pin. So once you have fasten the other cloth pin then what you do you pull it tight, you hold the container down with your hand, but keep your fingers close enough to be able to pluck the string and then you pull the string as tight as you can. The tighter that you pull it the higher the note. Relax it, it goes lower.
