I’m Lee; I have a degree in architecture and about ten year experience in the construction field, and we’ve just finished, yesterday, grouting our designer countertop. I’ve already wiped this one down. You just want to take a sponge and you can actually do it the same day that you install them. And just wipe over it. You’re going to have to rinse it a lot.
Now, with black grout, you can’t avoid getting it everywhere. It’s not going to stick too much, but it will get on your clothes and everywhere. And see how easy that comes up?
After you have cleaned off all your loose grout and unwanted grout- you want to make sure that you get it all off- I usually take what’s called “Rejuvenator”- it’s actually an “As Seen on TV” product that works pretty well. Put some on a sponge and wipe over it, and it actually does better than the sealer at keeping food and stuff out. And if you get some black grout on there again- as I’ve said, we’re doing black grout and it’s kind of hard to avoid. Just let it dry and wipe over it again and that black grout will come off because it’s suspended it the Rejuvenator liquid. And that’s how you would clean and seal your tile on your new designer countertops.
