How to Do the Figure-Eight Horizontal Move in Belly Dancing

Hello! My name is Naimah, and on behalf of Expert Village, I will now demonstrate a horizontal figure 8. You want to begin by bending the knees slightly and you’re going to move the right hip forward and slide it back. As you’re sliding, you’re going to slightly pivot that foot around. Then you’re going to move to the left, lift that hip out, slide it back. So, you’re going to go right, left, right, left. Keeping the upper torso still. You’re keeping your hips on a horizon line, not tilting it up, just keeping it on the horizon. This ends our segments on horizontal figure 8s. For more information on belly dance, you can visit my website at naimahraks.com. That’s NAIMAHRAKS.com.
