How to Do Hip Drops & Lifts in Belly Dancing

Hello! My name is Naimah, and on behalf of Expert Village, I will now demonstrate hip drops and hip lifts. We will begin by bending the knees slightly and you’re going to use your thighs. Lift up your right heel and you’re going to lift that hip into the rib cage. So, you’re going to use that thigh to pump the hip. Now, you’re doing a hip lift, and when you drop it you’re dropping the hip. Now, we’re going to move over to the left and we’re going to do the same thing. Bend the knees slightly, lift the hip into the rib cage and then you’re going to drop it. Use your thighs to pump that hip. Now, we’re going to go and alternate hips. So, you’re using both knees and thighs to pump the hips. That ends the hip drop segment. For more information on this you can visit my website at naimahraks.com. That’s NAIMAHRAKS.com.
