Hi this is Ken and I'm talking to you about the basics of golf. Again the professional would get the ball in the hole in supposedly in three, four, or five strokes, depending upon whether it is par. If you get it in less than the par that is call the birdie. If you get it in two strokes less than the par that is called the eagle. If you get it in one over par that is a bogey. Two over par is called a double bogey. Even the professionals would get double bogey and bogey, but most of the time the professionals are going to shoot pars and occasionally eagles. The idea of the game is to get the ball in the hole with as few strokes as possible over eighteen holes. Now we do this to a series of what we call our clubs. The clubs come in a bag like this here. There is a variety of clubs which we going to be talking about into more detail. Just to give you a quick thing this is a wood right here that's a metal but, it use to be made out of wood. These are for driving and there are a variety of other clubs which I'll will discuss on the next episode.
