Hard Hand Tips & Techniques for Blackjack

Hi this is Daniel on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we are going to be talking about the strategies on playing a hard hand. A hard hand is where the ace is being used as the 1. Hitting on a hard hand there is always a much higher chance of busting because you can't change the value of a 1 to anything lower. So there is several ways that you can play this. So when your hand is totaling12-16 when the dealer is showing a high value card a 7 to an ace, you should take a card. Chances are slim the dealer will bust and the player should try to improve his hand to win the game. If you are dealt a hand that adds up to 17-21 of course you should stand. The probability of a bust on a hit is high. When you are dealt a hand totaling 12-16 when the dealer is showing a low value card 2-6, you really should stand. The odds are the dealer will bust and you will take the game.
