How To Use Trekking Poles

Hi! This is Chris and on behalf of expertvillage.com in this clip we are going to talk about the importance in using trekking poles or hiking poles as some call them. I recommend that all hike we use be use trekking poles. Weather it is a day hike or a over night hike. Trekking poles are good for many reasons. One of them gives your add thrust with weight on your back as you are moving forward your stabilizing your weight and allowing your self and use your as a thrusting method as well. As well the trekking poles act as stabilizers often times you will have a great deal of weight on your back and at times you may fall and the poles acts as a catch for your from any direction to keep you from actually falling. In many cases this could keep you from seriously hurt. Another good use for trekking poles is resting. Often times if there is to much weight on your back you could lean forward and allow these to take the weight off your shoulders for rest. Another good use for a trekking pole is using to reach for something that has been lost perhaps or in other case is to shoo wildlife perhaps snakes, spiders, insects that may be dangerous to you. I highly recommend using trekking poles on all of your hiking trips.
