How to Add Motor Oil to a Car
Hi! My name is Dean and on behalf of expertvillage.com, in this clip we will discuss putting the motor oil back into the engine. We have already looked up in our owner’s manual and had determined that this car will take 5 quarts of oil with the filter, so we already had that determined. I’ve got my funnel and my rag. We will repeat this process with the rest of the 4 quarts. It is always a good idea to hold your funnel; sometimes they do not set in the engine very well and they could fall over and make a mess. We will take a rag underneath our funnel so we don’t drip our oil and will put the cap back on. In this particular car, we chose to go with high mileage oil because the vehicle does have a 160 something thousand miles on it and we thought it was worth the extra money. We do plan on keeping the car which could be a very strong determining factor.
