Play E7 Chord in 1st Position on the Guitar: Root Position

To play an E7 in first position, in root position with the root in the highest voice, place your middle finger on the second fret of the fifth string and your forefinger on the first fret of the third string and then play all of the strings not fretted open and your cord should sound like this.
