Adding Lip Wrap in Glassblowing

Hi! I’m Jim McKelvey with Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis. You can check us out on the web at www.stlglass.com. Today, we’re going to learn about glassblowing for expertvillage.com. We’re going to put on what’s called a lip wrap. Fern just got our piece. Alright, ready? Here we’ve got the piece of glass, touch it on, and I’m going to wind it around the side of the piece. Just like that, break it off. Just for a little bit of color on the tip. I wasn’t trying to be very accurate with that, but that’s okay.
