To play an A diminished chord in second inversion, that is the flat five in the base on the middle top set of strings. Place your forefinger on the 1st fret on the 4th string. Your ring finger on the 2nd fret on the 3rd string. And your middle finger on the 2nd string on the 1st fret. Your chord should sound like this.
