How to do the Crossover Lunge Block for Offensive Line
Cross over lunge, cross over lunge is a block that’s used on the back side. It can be used on the back of a fast flow play, reverse, tall sweep where the ball’s getting outside and it’s used all the time on the backside of goal line, when you’re trying to get where you know there’s penetration and you’re trying to get guys cut to the ground. Okay we talked about a cross over step early it’s that combination of pivot cross over with the difference being is we’re going to leave the ground we’re trying to cover as much ground as possible and cut the guy as soon as we can. Alright, so it’s a cross over step, landmark is play side knee and the technique or the punch is actually a cut so it’s cross over, game ground basically like you’re diving off a diving board and trying to get across that play side knee, okay!
