My name is Tom Cohen, martial arts instructor at Makoto Dojo in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our website is www.martialartsnc.com. This clip will demonstrate seiza, or seated defense, against either a reverse punch or a dagger stab. Whether your opponent is executing a reverse punch to your middle or a jab with a dagger, as he strikes, open to the outside, grab the inside of the wrist. With the opposite hand, execute a wrist break. As your knee comes down, pivot. Hook the elbow and roll your opponent onto his stomach. Break the elbow. Execute a strike to the back of the neck.
