An Example Hand of Omaha Poker Part 1

Look at this hand I'm setting up here. Tell me what you like about it. Okay, I'll tell you what I like about it. I like the aces, ace, ace. In fact if I was playing Texas Hold'em, I'd fall all over myself to get as many chips in as I can before the flop. Alas, we're playing Omaha Hold'em. So let's talk about what we don't like about this four card hand. Well, it's ace, seven. It's not a good hand. We call that ace babier, weak ace in the Texas Hold'em world. Ace, four, another ace, baby. We've no suits here. Well we have four suits here and that's the problem. It's a rainbow hand. Seven, four, it's a two gap connector. Rarely is seven, four, going to be the nuts, especially in Pot Limit Omaha. What am I saying to you, I'm saying that in Omaha Hold'em Poker, this is a mediocre hand at best. I'm saying, back away from those aces.
