Take this hand for example. This is Ace, Ace, Jack, 10. And it?s what we call double suited. The Ace and the 10 are clubs. And then the other Ace and the Jack are spades. So, I've got a dominating pair. And I've got opportunities to make straits. Straight Flushes and Royal Flushes. So there's a lot of chances here to make a good hand. And that's what you want to look for. You want four cards that can work together to produce a really good hand or a really strong draw for you. And if we look at the second hand here, we have what's called a wrap around strait draw. What that means is, by virtue of these four cards, all being in sequence. If the board comes and it has two of these cards, lets say the board comes and there?s a King and a Jack on the board. Then the Queen and the 10 can play towards the strait. So I would flop two pair. And then the Queen and the 10 could word toward getting me a strait. Or, and this is even better, if a 9 and an 8 come out, and then I can hit either a 10, a Jack, a Queen to make a strait. And by the fact that these are double suited, again I'm working towards flushes, I'm working towards straits, I'm working towards strait flushes and royal flushes. So you want four cards that work together. You don't want you hope to spring eternal. You want to be patient and wait for the really really good hands.
