Example of Omaha Poker

Ok. Let's make sure we know what Omaha Poker is. The way that it works, it's a whole new game with community cards and down cards. But unlike Texas Holdem, instead of two down cards you get four. And, there's a round of betting. Let's say everybody likes their hand, but just enough to see a flop. And, after that round of betting. Just like in holdem you burn one card then you turn three. Then, there's a round of betting. And, you can bet up to the amount of the pot at the time of your bet. And, then you burn a card you turn one up another round of betting. The maximum bet is the amount of the pot. We burn the last card, turn the river, we have a round of betting. You can bet the pot again. I'm going to do that. I'm going to bet eight. Everybody else, if they want to stay in the pot has to call the eight. And, then you look at the damage. You got to make your best four card hand, I'm sorry five card hand. And, you have to use exactly two of your down cards. And, three of the board cards. Well, I have to use this pair of three's. And, they came to nine. It's not such a great hand. I'm not sure why I bet so much. But, that's the way the game works. And, we'll talk some more about tournament strategy for the game Pot Limit Omaha coming up.
