We are standing by the thickness planer. It is a machine utilized to uniformly thickness a plane, a piece of wood, to the desired thickness. For example, if this would be seven-eighths of an inch thick board, and you want to make it three-quarters of an inch, this is what you would use, a planer. The machine itself has an in feed table here, an out feed table. It has something that has two rotating knives and its called "head". Obviously it has a housing, has a few pillars, four pillars that the head rides on up and down. And it allows you adjustments. The machine is operated on regular, standard, household electricity. And, it?s very portable in this particular case. It contains all the tools that you need as far as the changing of the blades and all the basic maintenance of the tool. This particular unit also contains something that is called an "exhaust house." And it will remove most of the chips that you will get from planning. This is not a standard feature. Obviously we're dealing with shop surroundings, so we don't want too many chips on the floor. That's why we utilize this. On the job site, all the wood chips basically they would just fly right in front and that is so important always to wear safety glasses while operating this tool. On the other side of this tool you will see a locking pin and adjustment handle. Thank you.
