When dealing with planer, it's extremely important to remember about safety. Always wear your safety goggles. When you're operating this tool in the field, there will be a bunch of wood chips coming out of from behind it. Anybody operating it, remember those please. Another safety tip, you never ever put your fingers or hands inside the housing where the rotating blades are for obvious reasons. Those blades are rotating at extremely high RPM's and it doesn't take much to catch your fingers or your hand and pull it inside. And, obviously we don't want this. Before you use it, always unplug it from the electricity. Visually, you'll inspect for any type of debris or any type of foreign bodies inside the table. You'll do the same on the backside. Make sure that there is no loose screws, that the housing is in one piece, there is no cracks, no visible breaks. You check if the housing operates nice and easy. If it doesn't, you put you'll apply a little bit of lubricant to your columns. Before you plug it back in, always make sure, always make sure that the switch is in the off position. Because, if you don't and the machine still in on. If you try to do anything on the inside, you are endangering yourself tremendously. Thank you.
