The Right Handed Stance for Offensive Line
That’s the line to one of these keys one of his positives that he has on the defense is his stance, he’s got to be able to get off the ball, get his steps in the ground. We’ll talk about a right handed stance and a left handed stance. A right handed stance all the linemen on the right side have to be in a right handed stance, lineman on the left side are left handed stance. What this does is it trains the feed, it trains in your eye even though he’s been a left tackle could move to the right side because the steps are exactly the same it’s a little different direction but the steps are the same, they’ll be totally different if on one side your foots back your outside foot is back you go to the other side and your outside foots up, then now you have totally different teaching. So in stance we’re going to have a right handed stance, Michael get in a right handed stance first, okay now we talked about that position of strength toes are slightly out, we got us a heel to toe stager and we got us a base. This is a base that Mike feels like he’s the strongest in, he’s going to play the game not only in his stance but he’s going to play in the game with his feet this far apart all the time, okay. He bends his knees, he goes down his stance you see his hand, his up hand is cocked and ready because he’s got to be ready to punch off the ground, there’s not any weight on that hand right there, he’s got a knee bend, he’s got his rear down, he’s ready to come out in a right step lead or a left step lead. Okay Mike just relax!
