Sculpture Tools

Hi. My name is Jorge Benllach. I'm a sculptor and today I'm going to try to show you how to do, like a garden craft. I'm going to try to make you copy some kind of a bunny like that. It's a three dimensional figure, we are going to make it that size approximately, that it's going to be okay looking in your terrace or in the garden anyway. We're going to use water base clay, and by the way, you can buy this water base clay in any art supplies. You know that's gray work they call gray clay. There is two kinds. There is the red one and the gray one. Both, they fire almost same, different cones of firing in the kiln but we are going to try to make one figurine that, if you don't put it outside, you don't need to fire it. If you put it outside in the garden, you have to fire it in the kiln. More or less, well, that's here whatever I show here, is what we're going use for to do that. We need the clay, we need the model, we need like, a support base, we need the piece of paper. This, always I use that. That’s a nice platform. It allows the model to turn. We are going to use a roller pin. We are going to use that cutting wire and those little pieces of wood, you know, to make the cuts of the clay even and some kind of cutting tools and it's very, very easy figure. I think you will enjoy it.
