Flexing Calves in Massage Therapy

I might then accompany working with the trigger point on the lower leg, the gastroc, by placing the client?s leg into a stretch. I do that by flexing the foot. I'm supporting their ankle with one hand. I'm applying pressure with the other. I have my elbow braced against my body and I'm not working very hard on doing this. Now if I want to give their soleus a stretch I would take and move their leg out to the side, the soleus lies under the gastroc, and I would extend. I'm stretching this muscle under here now that lies under the gastrocnemius. How does that feel? Feels good! It's always good to check in with your client. Once again to review the position for the gastrocnemius.
