So in continuing the segment on working with plantar fasciitis I have had my client turn over and we're going to work in the same spot once again. We're going to work with the client supine. What you're going to want to do is brace your hand on their ankle and take your thumb and apply deep short strokes. That will enable you to get down in here along this little ridge which is the origin. Deep and slow you don't want to work too quickly. You are probably causing some discomfort in your client and you want to check in. Obviously if they are thrashing about on the table you might be working a little bit too deeply. Over the years there have been times when you have to do that. Also, reverse your hand and work your thumb along this ridge here. Also, take your thumb and work here up along the Achilles tendon. Once again this part of the foot can be very, very tender and sharp. Now do some ice massage on that plantar fasciitis.
