Parts of Laminate Trimmer

In this chapter, we will talk a little bit about the laminate trimmer and what it consists of. As you can see, we have a regular cord with plenty of length to get plugged in. We also have a body which consists of the motor inside the housing. We have a base, adjustable, which can and will come off. Also, we have an adjustable button that will regulate the height of the bit, above and below the plate. In order to see the whole machine, it's very easy. You undo this little latch. You also undo this little button which regulates the height of the bit and this is your machine. You will see a little press button which locks the shaft of this machine. It will allow you to change the bits. This here is called a collet. This particular collet is one quarter in diameter for the bit's shaft. On this particular bit also, you will see a ball bearings, which will help you to guide this particular machine against the material that you're trimming. This particular model was built by DeWalt, but they are all pretty much standard. They all have the same principle. To reassemble is very simple. You just slide this little thing on. Oops, you've got to loosen it up. You tighten up this locking level. You adjust the depth of your bit to whatever depth you desire with this little button here. Then you lock it in place. You're ready to rock and roll.
