You can pick up your cell phone, but is it going to be good where you’re going? You’re traveling outside of your local area; outside of maybe the area that your cell phone covers, you should call your cellular company and ask them. Tell them you’re going to a different part in United States, or for that matter, a different part of the world. Can they upgrade your existing cell phone and make it a satellite phone that can be used in Paris? If not, you can contact any number or global companies that would give you, well actually not give you, but they will rent you a satellite phone. You pay about 40 dollars and they mail it to you. You pay 1.99 to 3 dollars for you minute times. But remember, you can have internet cafes on ships. Don’t forget your charger.
