Planning Escorted Trips for a Vacation

Hi! I’m Stephanie Phillips with expertvillage.com. We’re going to talk about what type of trip do you want to take. Are you going to an independent trip? That means you’re going to get on the plane, you’re going to in the car, you’re going to go the hotel, and then you’re going to be just be an adventurer and go out on your own. You have an idea of what you want to see, but you’re really going to take what I call the scenic road. That’s an independent tour. You can get an independent tour to go to almost any destination. However, if it is the type of destination where maybe the language is different the culture is different, you’ve never been there before, that may very well be the type that you want one of the other two unique ways to travel. You can have what’s called a hosted trip. That means that the place that you purchased from has representatives in the destination you’re going to go with. They’ll give you scenic tours, but they still allow you for plenty of time to go on your own. They make sure your flights are correct, your cruise is correct. Every facet is there, but they still give you plenty of time to be on your own and exploring on your own. Go to the restaurants you want to go to, find a little out of the way place. The last one is an escorted tour. That means somebody is going to take care of you from the time you leave to the time you come home. You’ll have your own escort. Somebody who tells you what time to get on the bus, what time to get on the plane, what time to get off, what time you’re dining. Now, there are different types of escorted tours. One of things you have to be careful is where your hotel going to be. You want to be in the center of everything so you’re not doing too much. But in an escorted tour, they’ll make sure you’re where you have to be when you want to be there and they usually have some tremendous knowledge that you might not have if you’re going on your own. Trick is decide which is what’s going to work best for you.
